- First Aid for Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest
- Wound Care
Course Length:
This is a 1 day (8 hour) comprehensive program (including coffee & lunch breaks) developed by the Canadian Red Cross.
Prerequisites:
There is no previous training required for this program.
Certification:
Certification requires full participation & course attendance. Participants must successfully demonstrate skills & critical steps, & achieve 75% on a written multiple choice exam. Certification is valid for 3 years.
As of September 1, 2018, Red Cross Emergency First Aid is considered equivalent to Occupational First Aid Level 1 for workplace occupational first aid attendants under the Health and Safety Regulations.
